Common Mistakes to Avoid – APCPDCL AEE Application 2026

Based on patterns seen in similar AP Power Utility recruitment cycles, the following are common errors that cost candidates their candidature. These are original editorial observations not from the official notification: Not linking Aadhaar to the active mobile number before the portal opens: Registration requires OTP verification on the Aadhaar-linked mobile number. If your current mobile is not linked to Aadhaar, update it at your nearest Aadhaar Seva Kendra at least 48–72 hours before 30 June 2026, as updates can take time to reflect. Confusing Journal Number with completed application: Many candidates stop after paying the fee, assuming the Journal Number confirms their application. It only confirms fee receipt. You must log back in, fill the complete form, upload all certificates, and submit - only then is the application considered complete. Locking wrong utility or zone preferences: Preferences for APCPDCL, APTRANSCO, APEPDCL, APSPDCL, APGENCO, and Zone/Unit submitted at the time of application are completely final. Choosing them in haste or incorrectly has a permanent career impact - no alterations are permitted after submission under any circumstances. Uploading an outdated EWS certificate: The EWS certificate must be issued within one year prior to the notification date (i.e., not before 25 June 2025). Older EWS certificates will be rejected at verification even if the candidate is otherwise eligible. Submitting a Residence Certificate when a Study Certificate is needed: If a candidate has studied up to Class VII in any educational institution, a Residence Certificate alone will NOT be accepted for local candidature - a Study Certificate is mandatory. Submitting the wrong certificate type leads to rejection of local candidate status. Using a Distance Mode degree from a non-AP state university: Degrees awarded through Distance Mode study centres of State Universities outside Andhra Pradesh are explicitly declared not legally valid. Do not apply if your engineering degree falls under this category. Bringing mobile phones or electronic devices to the exam centre: Use of mobile phones, smart watches, calculators, pen drives, Bluetooth devices, or any other electronic gadgets is strictly prohibited - even in switched-off mode. Violations attract disciplinary action including a permanent ban from future APCPDCL examinations. Attempting to influence posting through any recommendation: APCPDCL maintains a confidential register of all such recommendations received. Any candidate found attempting to influence postings through political or other means faces termination and permanent debarment. Submitting an application is treated as acceptance of this condition.
