Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), a Maharatna Central Public Sector Undertaking, has released a notification for engagement of Trade Apprentices at its Haridwar unit for the year 2026-27. BHEL Haridwar Apprentice Eligibility Criteria 2026
Candidates who have passed ITI in the relevant trade from an NCVT-recognized institute are eligible to apply. Candidates who have already completed apprenticeship training after ITI, or who have one year or more of job experience, or who are pursuing any regular course, are not eligible to apply. Candidates must be regular ITI pass-outs from an NCVT or SCVT recognized institute for the years 2023, 2024, 2025, or 2026, depending on the trade. Candidates who have undergone apprenticeship as a private candidate are not eligible. Only candidates who passed ITI in 2023 or later, with a marksheet issued by the board, are eligible to apply.
Educational Qualification for BHEL Trade Apprentice 2026
Candidate must have passed High School (Class 10). Candidate must have passed ITI (Industrial Training Institute) in the relevant trade from an institute recognized by NCVT (National Council for Vocational Training). For Welder and Electrician trades, ITI passed from an institute recognized by NCVT or SCVT (State Council for Vocational Training) is also accepted. Minimum marks required in ITI: General / EWS / OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) category: minimum 60% SC / ST category: minimum 55%
BHEL Haridwar Trade Apprentice Stipend
All selected candidates will be paid a monthly stipend during the training period as per applicable apprenticeship guidelines. The exact stipend amount will be as prescribed under the Apprentices Act and related rules.
Reservation Policy
Reservation will be provided as per government norms for SC, ST, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), EWS, and PwD candidates. OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates must submit a caste certificate issued on or after 01 April 2025; older or expired certificates will not be accepted, and the certificate must be in the format prescribed by the Government of India. EWS candidates must submit an EWS certificate valid for financial year 2026-27. Reservation will be provided to dependents of BHEL Haridwar employees (working/retired/deceased) as per company rules. Priority will be given to candidates domiciled in Uttarakhand, for which a valid Uttarakhand Domicile Certificate is mandatory (not required for dependents of BHEL Haridwar employees).

The following documents must be uploaded online (Part 2 of the application) and later submitted physically along with the acknowledgement slip: Latest passport-size colour photograph (.jpg/.jpeg, up to 30 KB) High School (Class 10) certificate ITI consolidated marksheet (or all semester marksheets if consolidated marksheet is unavailable) Aadhaar Card Caste certificate / EWS certificate (if applicable) Disability certificate (if applicable) Uttarakhand Domicile Certificate (mandatory for Uttarakhand residents; not required for dependents of BHEL Haridwar employees) Registration proof from the Apprenticeship Portal (profile printout with name, registration number, date of birth, etc.) "Form for Employee Ward" (only applicable for dependents of BHEL Haridwar employees) All documents (except the photograph) must be uploaded in PDF format, up to 500 KB each.
Important Instructions for Applicants
Applications received without complete details, without the required uploaded documents, or without submission of the acknowledgement slip and documents will be rejected. Candidates who have already completed apprenticeship training and were terminated from another organization within three months prior to joining BHEL are not eligible under the Apprentices (Amendment) Rules, 2025. Dependents (spouse/children) of BHEL Haridwar employees get a 3-year relaxation in the ITI passing year requirement, subject to RDSDE online approval; registration on the Apprenticeship Portal is still mandatory. No travelling allowance or dearness allowance will be paid to candidates called for joining/reporting. Selected candidates must make their own arrangements for stay and food during the training period. This training does not confer any right or claim to regular employment at BHEL. Any corrigendum, correction, or update related to this recruitment will be published only on the official BHEL Haridwar career website; no separate notice will be given through newspapers or other media. Management reserves the right to modify, postpone, cancel, or suspend the selection process at any time without assigning any reason, and its decision will be final. Any dispute arising out of this notification will fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of courts/tribunals in Haridwar.
