Only female candidates are eligible to apply for both Anganwadi Karyakatri and Sahayika posts. Applicants must be residents of the same Gram Sabha (village) for rural posts, or the same Ward for urban posts, to which they are applying. The selection process for both posts will be conducted as per the procedure laid down in Government Order No. 1/1092245/2025/3313/58-1-2025(1917687) dated 17.09.2025, issued by the Bal Vikas Vibhag and Pushtahar, UP. Anganwadi Karyakatri: Minimum qualification is Intermediate ( 12th pass). Anganwadi Sahayika: Minimum qualification is Intermediate or equivalent. The merit list will be prepared based on marks/percentage obtained from Intermediate up to the highest qualification of Postgraduate. High School marks are not included while preparing the merit list for either post.

Selection for both Anganwadi Karyakatri and Sahayika posts will be entirely merit-based, conducted online through the departmental portal. No written examination or interview will be conducted for these posts. If more than one eligible candidate is available in the same category for a post, a merit list will be prepared among all such eligible candidates. For Sahayika posts, the minimum qualification considered is Intermediate or equivalent, and the maximum qualification considered is Postgraduate, for merit preparation. Merit calculation formula: The percentage of marks obtained by a candidate is divided by 10 to arrive at the marks used for merit. For example, a candidate scoring 45% in Intermediate will be awarded 4.5 marks; a candidate scoring 59% will be awarded 5.9 marks. For candidates with grading or CGPA systems, marks will be calculated using an equivalent conversion method in the same manner. Merit will be calculated up to three decimal places; no rounding off will be done after the decimal point. As per the applicable Government Order, no reservation benefit is available for EWS category, differently-abled (Divyang) category, or dependents of freedom fighters in this selection. The number of vacancies may increase or decrease, and any change will be reflected on the official website.

The entire application process is online through the portal upanganwadibharti.in. Applications will not be accepted in hard copy at any stage or level. Certificate numbers, registration numbers, and issue dates for educational, income, caste, and residence certificates entered during the online application will be verified online through the portal. Any candidature found to have incorrect entries in this regard will be automatically rejected, and the full responsibility for this will lie with the candidate. The entire selection process for these posts will be conducted based on the merit and preference given in applications received online through the departmental portal, as per the merit process specified in the Government Order. Applications or documents sent offline or by post will not be accepted. If any detail, fact, figure, or educational credential entered in the application is found to be incorrect, fabricated, or different from the submitted application, the candidature will be rejected.
