Who Can Apply and Eligibility Explained
Candidates with postgraduate medical qualifications according to the National Medical Commission (NMC) Medical Institutions (Qualifications of Faculty) Regulations, 2025, can apply for teaching faculty and super specialist posts. Senior Resident posts require a postgraduate degree such as MD, MDS, MS, or Diplomate of National Board (DNB). Adjunct faculty positions need relevant postgraduate qualifications with a minimum of 6 to 8 years of experience depending on the seniority of the post. Age limits differ by post, with teaching and super specialist faculty capped at 69 years, while senior residents must be under 45 years or 50 years for certain preclinical and para-clinical subjects as per the new NMC guidelines.
