ESIC Senior Resident Recruitment 2026 - Walk-in for 20 Posts

Candidates must hold an MBBS degree along with a Postgraduate (PG) Degree/DNB/Diploma in the relevant specialty from a recognized institution. Registration with the Gujarat Medical Council or the National Medical Commission (NMC) is mandatory. Those with registration from another state must obtain registration with the Gujarat Medical Council at the time of joining. Specifically for the Senior Resident position in Nephrology, candidates should have an MBBS degree with a PG Degree/DNB/Diploma in Medicine or Pediatrics from an accredited institution, with a preference for those who have a DM/DNB in Nephrology. The upper age limit is set at 45 years as of the interview date, with relaxation of 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.

Selected candidates will receive a Basic Pay of ₹67,700/- under Level-11, Index-1 of the Pay Matrix, which is equivalent to the pre-revised Basic Pay of ₹18,750/- in PB-3 with Grade Pay of ₹6,600/-. Additional allowances will apply as per ESIC regulations and the Senior Residency Scheme.

Candidates should arrive at the Conference Hall (2nd Floor), ESIC Model Hospital, Bapunagar, Ahmedabad, at 9:30 AM on 23 July 2026 for document verification. Only those who successfully pass the document verification will be allowed to proceed to the interview. Selection is based solely on the walk-in interview format; there will be no written test. All candidates must arrive by 10:00 AM, as late entries will not be permitted.

Candidates need to bring the following documents: Original and photocopies of MBBS and PG Degree/DNB/Diploma certificates; Gujarat Medical Council or National Medical Commission registration certificate; Original category certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS) in the applicable Government of India format; OBC-NCL certificate (valid as per latest DOPT format) if claiming OBC reservation; PwBD certificate, if applicable; No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the current employer for those working in Government or Private hospitals/institutions; Proof of age, identity, and address; Demand Draft of ₹500/- (for UR/OBC candidates only).

The Senior Residency position is for a duration of 3 years, including any previous temporary or regular SR appointment at a government facility. The initial appointment is for one year, which can be extended annually based on performance evaluations. New appointees must pay a Security Deposit of ₹30,000/- and sign an agreement on a ₹300/- Non-Judicial Stamp Paper upon joining. No service benefits including PF, Pension, Gratuity, Medical Allowance, Seniority, Promotions, or Leave are available. Travel allowances are not provided for interview attendance or joining. Private practice is strictly prohibited. Candidates who have completed 3 years of Senior Residency at any government hospital are ineligible for application under this scheme. A one-month notice period, or payment in lieu, is required for resignations. Accommodation in hostels or staff quarters will not be available.
