Eligibility Criteria

Certificate of Competency as Master of Foreign going Steamship (Valid throughout the Commonwealth) Certificate of Sight test inform-vision issued by the Mercantile Marine Department of the Government of India About 5 years experience as Chief Officer in Foreign going Steamship Knowledge of Konkani Certificate of competency as 1st Class Engineer (Motor) issued under the Merchant Shipping Act, 1958 (Central Act 44 of 1958) 3 years experience as 2nd Class Engineer on board foreign going /home trade ships Certificate of sight test in Form Vision and Colour Vision from a Medical Board Knowledge of Konkani A recognised medical qualification included in the First or the Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (Act No. 102 of 1956). Holders of qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (Act No. 102 of 1956). Post-graduate degree or equivalent qualification in the speciality concerned from a National Medical Commission (then Medical Council of India) recognized medical college/institution. At least three years experience in the concerned speciality as Senior Resident/Registrar/Tutor/Demonstrator in a recognised Medical College/Teaching Institution after the requisite post-graduate degree. Knowledge of Konkani. Masters Degree in the appropriate branch of Humanities and Sciences with minimum First Class. Knowledge of Konkani. Masters Degree in Indian History from a recognized University or equivalent. Two years experience of: Research of modern Indian History or Teaching of Modern Indian History in University or College or Work in relevant field. Certificate Course in Portuguese Language of six months from a recognized Institute Knowledge of Konkani. Good Academic record with at least 55% of marks or equivalent grade at Master's Degree level in the relevant subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from a foreign University. National Eligibility Test (NET)/State Level Eligibility Test (SET) shall remain the compulsory requirement for appointment as Assistant Professor: Provided, however, that candidates who are or have been awarded Ph. D. Degree in compliance of the “University Grants Commission (minimum standards and procedure for award of Ph. D. Degree), Regulation 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Colleges". Knowledge of Konkani.
