The 369 posts are spread unevenly across 22 subjects, with English (39 posts) carrying the largest share, followed by Chemistry and Hindi (34 posts each) , while Dance and Tabla have only 2 posts each. HPPSC requires a Master's degree with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/OBC and PwBD) in the relevant subject , a qualifying NET/SLET/SET score, and an age between 18 and 45 years as on 1 January 2026 . The subject of the Master's degree must correspond to the post applied for. Master's degree with 55% marks (or equivalent grade) in the relevant subject from a recognized university, or an equivalent recognized foreign degree. 5% relaxation (55% to 50%) for SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer) and Physically/Visually Handicapped candidates. 5% relaxation for Ph.D. holders who completed their Master's before September 1991. NET (UGC/CSIR) or equivalent SLET/SET is the minimum eligibility condition for the post. Ph.D. holders are exempt from NET/SLET/SET , provided the Ph.D. was awarded in regular mode, evaluated by at least two external examiners, included an open viva-voce, and is backed by at least two published papers (one refereed) plus two conference presentations. With 22 separate codes (34/6-2026 to 55/6-2026), an incorrect subject selection cannot be corrected after submission. Uploading unclear documents: Illegible scanned certificates lead to rejection, so scan at adequate resolution. Submitting without a final review: No corrections are allowed post-submission, so date of birth and category should be double-checked beforehand. Skipping NET/SLET/SET proof upload: Missing this can cause provisional rejection even for otherwise eligible candidates. Missing the answer key objection window: Objections to the Paper-I key must be raised within 5 days of publication with Rs. 100 per question; this window cannot be reopened.
