HPSC Recruitment 2026 - Eligibility Criteria

HPSC Recruitment 2026 for Section Officer, HPF&AS is open exclusively to serving employees of the Himachal Pradesh Government and its associated bodies. Applicants must meet the educational qualification, service, and age criteria described below as on the closing date of application. Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university. Minimum 3 (three) years of regular service in a H.P. Government Department, Board, Corporation, Autonomous Body, University, or Co-operative Bank of the State of Himachal Pradesh. Desirable: knowledge of the customs, manners, and dialects of Himachal Pradesh. Minimum Age: 18 years Maximum Age: 45 years Age is reckoned as on 01 January 2026.

Selected candidates will be placed in Pay Band Level-13, with a pay scale ranging from Rs. 46,000 to Rs. 1,46,500, in addition to allowances admissible as per H.P. Government rules.

HPSC Recruitment 2026 - Important Instructions

Reservation benefits (SC/ST/OBC) on parental basis apply only to bonafide residents of Himachal Pradesh. No candidate will be admitted to the Main Examination without submitting Annexure-I, II, III, and IV in complete form. An NOC from the current employer is mandatory before appearing for the Main Examination; contract/casual/adhoc/daily-rated/work-charged employees are exempt from this requirement. Re-checking or re-evaluation of OMR sheets or answer books is not permitted under any circumstances. Entry to the examination venue closes 30 minutes before the scheduled start time. No employee is allowed more than 5 chances to appear in the entrance examination. Selected trainees must execute a service bond of Rs. 5,00,000 to serve the Government for a minimum of 5 years after training. All examinations are governed by the Himachal Pradesh Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2025. Disputes, if any, are subject to the jurisdiction of courts at Shimla.
