For the Senior Research Fellow post, candidates must have a Master’s degree in Vegetable Science, Horticulture, Genetics and Plant Breeding, or Plant Biotechnology with at least four or five years of combined Bachelor’s and Master’s education. If a candidate has a three-year Bachelor’s plus two-year Master’s degree, they must clear the National Eligibility Test (NET) and have two years of relevant research experience as per ICAR and Department of Science & Technology guidelines. Desirable skills include handling plant growth experiments, recording crop data, and performing basic statistical analysis. For Young Professional-I posts, the minimum qualification is a graduate degree with at least 60% marks in Agriculture Sciences, Engineering, or Technology. Experience in laboratory work including PCR and molecular markers, or managing plant experiments and data, will be an advantage. Age relaxations apply as per government rules for SC, ST, OBC, and women candidates.
