IIT Ropar Accounts Officer Recruitment 2026 Notification

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Ropar in collaboration with the Defence Research and Innovation Foundation (DRIF) is looking to fill the position of Accounts Officer. This role focuses on managing financial records, ensuring compliance with applicable standards, supporting audits, and handling overall financial operations. Although the total number of vacancies is not specified, the job is based at IIT Ropar, Rupnagar, Punjab. Candidates eligible to apply should hold professional qualifications such as Chartered Accountant (CA), Cost and Management Accountant (CMA), ICWA, or a Master of Commerce (M.Com) degree with at least 70% marks. Applicants must be proficient in accounting software including Tally, Government e-Marketplace (GeM), Public Financial Management System (PFMS), payroll accounting, and e-TDS systems. A solid understanding of Indian tax regulations like GST and TDS is essential. Good communication skills and ability to work both independently and within a team environment are important. Preference will be given to candidates with experience working in defense procurement systems, knowledge of defence Innovation and Research & Development funding, prior service with the Armed Forces, and proficiency in Punjabi language.
