Selection Procedure
Stage 1 - INET (Indian Navy Entrance Test) Separate INET exams will be conducted for Electrical and Engineering entries. INET 2/2026 will be conducted in August 2026 with SSC as Exam Partner. Stage 2 - Physical Fitness Test (PFT) Qualifying in PFT is mandatory for selection. Candidates undergoing PFT do so at their own risk. Stage 2 - Written Examination Written exam is conducted only for candidates who qualify PFT. Two separate exams are conducted for Engineering and Electrical streams. Stage 2 - Recruitment Medical Examination Conducted for all candidates who qualify PFT. Candidates found medically unfit may appeal within 05 days at a designated Military Hospital allocated by the Indian Navy. Medical fitness certificates from hospitals other than designated Military Hospitals will not be considered. No second appeal is permissible.
