IOB Apprentice Selection Process 2026-27
Selection for IOB Apprentice Recruitment 2026-27 will be based on an online examination, a test of the local language wherever applicable, and personal interaction if decided by the Bank. Satisfying the eligibility criteria alone does not guarantee a call for the online examination. The total duration of the examination is 90 minutes. The examination will be conducted online using the candidate's own front camera-enabled desktop, laptop, tablet, or smartphone, and candidates must display the same ID proof uploaded on the apprenticeship portal. Candidates must score a minimum aggregate percentage as decided by the Bank, with a 5 percent relaxation available for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates. There is no minimum qualifying mark for individual subjects. Candidates applying for a particular state must be proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding at least one local language of that state. This test is conducted during document verification after qualifying the written examination. Candidates who have studied the specified local language up to 10th or 12th standard are exempted from this test. A state-category-wise waitlist will be maintained for one year from the date of the result or the next engagement exercise, whichever is earlier.
