The prescribed physical standards are: Candidates who meet the physical standards must undergo the Physical Endurance Test, which is qualifying in nature and carries no marks. Note: For this purpose, the age of the Ex-Serviceman is his actual age as on 1 January 2026. All Ex-Servicemen must also pass the written test and meet the prescribed medical standards for direct recruits. The Physical Standard Test and Physical Endurance Test are both qualifying in nature only. Selected candidates, with reference to the vacancies, will be medically examined to assess their physical and medical fitness.

Educational Qualification for JKSSB Warder Post

Minimum Matriculation ( 10th ) and Maximum 10 +2 from a recognised Board of School Education/Institution. Candidates must clear the Physical Standard Test and Physical Endurance Test as detailed below. Candidates declared qualified/shortlisted for Document Verification must produce relevant original certificates as proof of the prescribed educational qualification, strictly on or before the cut-off date, failing which their candidature will be cancelled. Candidates claiming an equivalent educational qualification must produce a relevant Equivalence Certificate or obtain equivalence from the competent authority as and when required.

Domicile Requirement

Candidates applying for the advertised posts must be Domicile(s) of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir and must possess a valid Domicile Certificate issued by the Competent Authority in the prescribed format on or before the cut-off date, i.e. 25 August 2026 (unless extended).

Reservation Policy in JKSSB Warder Recruitment 2026

Reservation for the advertised posts is applicable as per the category-wise break-up conveyed by the Indenting Department and the Jammu & Kashmir Reservation Act/Rules, as amended from time to time. Candidates seeking reserved category consideration must possess a valid Category Certificate strictly as on the cut-off date, uploaded at the time of application; no further opportunity to upload documents will be given later. Reservation certificates must be in the prescribed format as per the relevant Act/S.O.; certificates in any other format will not be entertained. Horizontal Reservation for Ex-Servicemen (ESM) is applicable as per extant rules, for posts up to Pay Level-6E (35,900–1,13,500). An Ex-Serviceman who has already availed Horizontal Reservation on joining a post cannot avail this benefit again for subsequent employment; an affidavit sworn before a 1st Class Judicial Magistrate is required at the time of document scrutiny. ESM candidates must produce a Certificate in Form-XIV, duly signed by the competent authority, as provided in Rule 18 of the Jammu and Kashmir Reservation Rules, 2005. Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) are not eligible for this post.

Document Verification (DV)

Shortlisted candidates must appear for Document Verification with original documents as well as self-attested photocopies of each document/certificate/online application form. Candidates must possess the prescribed academic qualification and documents such as Birth Certificate, Domicile Certificate, and Category Certificate, all legally valid on or before the cut-off date. Failure to appear before the Document Verification Committee, or failure to produce original documents on the scheduled date, will result in the candidate not being considered for selection. No TA/DA will be paid for participation in the written test or Document Verification. Two recent passport-size colour photographs and a valid original ID proof must be produced at the time of Document Verification.

Other Important Instructions

Misconduct/Malpractice: Any irregularity, misconduct, malpractice, or misbehaviour at any stage of the selection process will lead to debarment from JKSSB examinations for a period deemed appropriate, besides other penal action under extant rules and laws. Security Screening: Submission of the application form implies willingness to undergo screening measures put in place by the Board, including physical frisking, Door Frame Metal Detector (DFMD) scanning, biometric capturing, facial recognition screening, and Aadhaar authentication. No Correction Facility: Requests for change or correction in any particulars of the application form, once submitted, will not be entertained under any circumstances. Finality of Decision: The decision of the Board on all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of applications, mode of selection, conduct of examinations, allotment of examination centres, and preparation of the merit list will be final and binding.
