The selection for NAeL Non-Executive posts is based entirely on a Written Test, followed by Document Verification and a Pre-Employment Medical Examination. There is no interview stage. Step 1: Shortlisting for Written Test Applications are screened based on the percentage of marks in the qualifying examination: UR / OBC-NCL / EWS: 60% and above SC / ST / PwBD: 50% and above If the number of eligible candidates is large, NAeL may raise the cut-off percentage for shortlisting. Step 2: Written Test (23 August 2026, Prayagraj) The written test is 2.5 hours long and consists of MCQs with no negative marking: Minimum qualifying marks: 50% in the Written Test. SC / ST / PwBD candidates get a 10% relaxation in qualifying marks. Step 3: Document Verification Candidates who qualify the Written Test are called for Document Verification in order of merit. The number of candidates called is limited to the number of advertised posts (category-wise). Travelling allowance (Sleeper/2nd Class train/bus fare by shortest route) is reimbursed on production of travel proof. Step 4: Pre-Employment Medical Examination Provisionally selected candidates must clear a medical examination as per NAeL's prescribed standards. No relaxation in health standards is permitted. Step 5: Final Offer of Engagement Final engagement is issued after receipt of a satisfactory Medical Report and verification of Character & Antecedents from the concerned authorities.

Candidates shortlisted after the Written Test must bring the following to the Document Verification stage: Admit Card + valid Original Photo ID (Aadhaar / PAN / Passport / Voter ID / Driving Licence) Educational qualification certificates and mark sheets Date of birth proof (10th certificate) Caste Certificate in Central Government format (SC/ST/OBC - not older than 6 months for OBC-NCL) EWS Certificate (Income & Asset Certificate in Central Government format) PwBD Disability Certificate (40% or more disability) from Competent Authority Experience Certificate on company letterhead (for candidates claiming age relaxation) No Objection Certificate (NOC) if currently employed in Central/State Govt. / PSU Ex-Serviceman Discharge Certificate (if applicable)

Even well-prepared candidates sometimes make preventable errors. Here are the most common pitfalls specific to this recruitment: Applying with a distance/correspondence/part-time degree - These qualifications are explicitly disqualified. Only full-time, regular programmes are accepted. Possessing a higher qualification - Candidates with degrees higher than what is prescribed (e.g., a B.Tech applying for Operator SS) will be rejected. This rule is strictly enforced. Not disclosing ongoing courses - The notification requires you to declare all qualifications being currently pursued. Omitting this can lead to cancellation. Submitting multiple applications - Only one application per candidate is allowed. Duplicate submissions are rejected. Paying the fee without checking eligibility - The fee is non-refundable. Verify age, qualification, and category before paying. OBC-NCL certificate older than 6 months - OBC candidates must submit a fresh Non-Creamy Layer certificate in Central Government format at document verification. Not keeping the email ID active - NAeL sends all communications (admit card, result, DV date) only via email. Use a regularly monitored address. Confusing the age cut-off date - The age calculation reference date is 31 May 2026, not the application date or exam date. Candidates employed elsewhere forgetting the NOC - Government/PSU employees who are provisionally selected must bring a No Objection Certificate or their candidature is cancelled.
