NCLT Deputation Recruitment 2026 – Eligibility Criteria

All posts are to be filled on deputation/absorption basis only. Only officers/officials already serving in Central Government, State Governments, Union Territories, Courts, Tribunals or Statutory Organisations are eligible. Departmental officers in the feeder grade who are in the direct line of promotion are NOT eligible for deputation. Age must not exceed 56 years as on the closing date of receipt of applications.

Who should NOT apply for NCLT Deputation Recruitment 2026?

Candidates not currently serving as regular officers in Central/State Government, UTs, Courts, Tribunals or Statutory Organisations - this recruitment is exclusively for serving government employees. Departmental officers in the feeder grade who are in the direct line of promotion for the applied post - explicitly ineligible for deputation. Officers whose age exceeds 56 years as on the closing date of receipt of applications. Officers with any pending vigilance/disciplinary case or criminal case - a clean clearance is mandatory. Officers who have been imposed major/minor penalties in the last 10 years - this may disqualify candidature. Officers who are not willing to serve at the specific NCLT Bench they are applying for. Officers who may want to withdraw their application after submission - withdrawal is NOT permitted. Officers whose cadre controlling authority will not issue Cadre Clearance or will not relieve them upon selection. Candidates expecting absorption into NCLT as a right - it is entirely at NCLT's discretion. Private Secretary / Stenographer applicants who do not meet the prescribed shorthand and transcription speed norms.

Common Mistakes / What to Check Before Applying NCLT Deputation Recruitment 2026?

Not sending the application through proper channel - applications sent directly by the officer without forwarding authority's signature will not be considered. Not attaching attested photocopies of ACRs/APARs for the last 5 years - mandatory; applications without this will be rejected. Not including the Cadre Clearance Certificate from the cadre controlling authority - compulsory. Not attaching Vigilance Clearance Certificate and Integrity Certificate - mandatory documents. Not disclosing major/minor penalties of last 10 years - non-disclosure is suppression of material fact. Applying for a Bench where you are unwilling to serve - the selected candidate must serve only at that specific Bench. Not verifying that your current pay level and years of regular service meet the exact eligibility condition for the applied post.
