Candidates must be Indian citizens and fulfil the following educational qualification, experience, and age criteria to be eligible for the NIAB Technical Officer post. Candidates must possess any one of the following essential qualifications: B.Sc. with 7 years of relevant experience, or B.Tech / B.V.Sc. / M.Sc. with 3 years of relevant experience Desirable qualifications for the post include: Experience of laboratory training focused on complex laboratory techniques, advanced instrumental analysis, and advanced animal cell culture techniques Experience working in laminar hoods/bio-safety cabinets and performing molecular biology techniques such as RT-PCR, Western blotting, and gene silencing Proficiency in handling inverted microscopes, CO2 incubators, cell counters, and similar laboratory equipment Knowledge of bio-analytical techniques, laboratory safety, and quality assurance Proficiency in statistical and computer productivity software such as Word and Excel Experience for the position will be reckoned from the date of acquiring the prescribed qualification. The selected Technical Officer will be responsible for assisting Scientists in laboratory-related work, or any other job assigned by the competent authority. The role requires strong team-working skills, and duties will primarily be performed as per laboratory guidelines and procedures.

The Technical Officer post carries Pay Level 6 as per the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC), along with usual allowances admissible to Central Government employees of the same pay and status posted at Hyderabad, Telangana. Appointment will initially be on probation for a period of 2 years, which may be extended at the discretion of the Competent Authority, and further continuation will depend on the candidate's performance during probation.

Only shortlisted candidates will be called for a Written Test and/or Skill Test, as decided by the Competent Authority. If a large number of applications are received, screening will be done to shortlist candidates possessing higher/relevant qualifications and experience. The Institute reserves the right to convert desirable qualifications into essential qualifications to optimise the number of candidates called for the selection process. Candidates called for the written test and/or skill test will be paid single second-class rail fare from the actual place of journey or normal place of residence, whichever is nearer to Secunderabad Railway Station, on production of relevant travel documents.
