NIT Rourkela Junior Research Fellow (JRF) Eligibility Criteria 2026

First Class Postgraduate Degree / M.Tech / MPharm (minimum 60% or CGPA 6.5) including integrated PG degrees in Engineering or Basic Sciences (GATE Qualified mandatory with valid GATE/GPAT/NET score). OR First Class Graduate Degree of Four Years (minimum 60% or CGPA 6.5) in Engineering/IT/CS/Pharmacy (GATE Qualified mandatory for Graduate degree holders with valid GATE/GPAT/NET score). For MSc. holders, GATE / GPAT / CSIR-NET JRF Qualified is mandatory with valid GATE score as per Institute rule. All other guidelines and conditions apply as per OM SB/S9/Z-06/2019 dt. 01-02-24. Desirable: Preferably M.Tech /B.Tech in Biomedical Engineering/M. Pharm /M.Tech in Electronics Engineering/ M.Tech or Msc in Biotechnology/Chemistry with valid GATE/GPAT Score. Prior experience of working with biosensors / AI / bio-electronics / electrochemistry/diabetes is desirable and preferred.
