Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Engineering or Mechanical Engineering and a Master's degree in Farm Machinery & Power Engineering or Farm Power Machinery. They should have scored at least 60% at the Bachelor's level and 65% or an OCPA of 6.50 out of 10.00 at the Master's level. Additionally, a Matric level certificate of Punjabi Language from the Punjab School Education Board or any other recognized board is required (as either the first or second language). Note: Candidates without a Master's degree in the relevant field but possessing a Ph.D. in the required discipline are also eligible for the position.

The salary for candidates with a Master's degree is fixed at Rs. 35,000 per month, while candidates with a Ph.D. will receive Rs. 40,000 per month.
