The total number of vacancies notified is 11,127, with over 8.4 lakh candidates having applied. The first stage of the Computer Based Test (CBT 1) is scheduled for 3, 4, and 5 November 2026. Candidates need to log in at rrbapply.gov.in to check their application status and prepare accordingly.
Understanding Your Application Status
Candidates can find their application status marked as Provisionally Accepted, Conditionally Accepted, or Rejected. If your status is Provisionally Accepted, it means your application details have passed initial scrutiny, but further verification will follow during the recruitment process. A Conditionally Accepted status implies some conditions apply; you should carefully read the message on your login page for specific instructions. If your application is Rejected, the reason will be displayed on the login portal. Unfortunately, rejected candidates will not be allowed to appear in the Computer Based Test and will not receive any city intimation slip or admit card.
| Status | What it means for you |
|---|
| Provisionally Accepted | Your application is accepted on the basis of the details you submitted. Further checks will happen later in the recruitment process. |
|---|
| Conditionally Accepted | The sources reviewed do not give a separate official definition. Treat it as accepted with conditions and read the message shown on your login page. |
|---|
| Rejected | Your application was not accepted. The reason is shown in your login. A rejected candidate cannot appear for the CBT and will not receive a city slip or admit card |
