UP Anganwadi Recruitment 2026 - 210 Anganwadi Workers and Helper Posts in Chandauli District

Only female candidates are eligible to apply for these posts. The candidate must be a permanent resident of the Gram Sabha/Ward (urban area) where the vacant post exists. The Gram Sabha includes all revenue villages, majra, purva, and tolas that fall under it. If an eligible candidate belonging to the notified category is not available within the Gram Sabha, an eligible candidate from the concerned Nyay Panchayat will be selected instead.

The posts of Anganwadi Karyakatri and Sahayika are honorarium-based (मानदेय आधारित) appointments and not regular salaried government jobs. The official notification does not specify the exact honorarium amount. Candidates are advised to refer to the detailed vacancy notice displayed at the CDPO office, Vikas Bhawan, or the official website upanganwadibharti.in, or the government order dated 17 September 2025 for the applicable honorarium structure.

Selection for the posts of Anganwadi Karyakatri and Sahayika will follow a defined order of preference among eligible resident candidates of the same Gram Sabha/Ward: Widow women living Below Poverty Line (BPL) will be given first priority. A valid death certificate issued by the Gram Panchayat Officer/concerned urban body and an attested copy of the family register will be required. If a BPL widow is not available, preference will go to a BPL divorced/abandoned (Parityakta) woman. A valid legal order from the competent court is required in such cases. If candidates from both the above categories are not available, preference will be given to a BPL candidate, followed by an APL (Above Poverty Line) candidate. Only income certificates issued by a competent authority (Tehsildar), as per UP Government Order No. 3959/1-9-11-Raj-9 dated 30 September 2011, that are online-verifiable will be accepted. As per the redefined poverty line income limits (Government Order dated 14 September 2015), the annual income limit is Rs. 46,080 for rural areas and Rs. 56,460 for urban areas. BPL/Antyodaya ration cards will not be accepted as proof of poverty status.

Selection to the posts of Anganwadi Karyakatri and Sahayika will be made on the basis of a merit list prepared as per the criteria mentioned in the Government Order No. /2025/3313/58-1-2025 (1917687) dated 17 September 2025, considering: Educational qualification (up to postgraduate level, for merit purposes) Residency of the applicant in the relevant Gram Sabha/Ward Reservation category (UR/OBC/SC/ST) Priority rules for BPL widow, BPL divorced/abandoned woman, BPL and APL candidates as applicable
