UP Anganwadi Recruitment 2026 - 292 Anganwadi Worker Posts in Farrukhabad District

Only female candidates are eligible to apply for the Anganwadi Karyakatri posts. The candidate must be a resident of the same Gram Sabha/Ward (in urban areas) for which the vacancy is notified.

The minimum educational qualification for the Anganwadi Karyakatri post is Intermediate (12th pass) or an equivalent qualification. Merit for selection will be prepared on the basis of the percentage of marks obtained in the maximum qualifying educational qualification held by the candidate.

As per the notification, selection preference for each Gram Sabha/Ward will be given in the following order: Widow / divorced / deserted women, who are original residents of the concerned Gram Sabha/Ward and belong to a family living below the poverty line (BPL), will get first priority. If no such widow/divorced/deserted BPL candidate is available in that Gram Sabha/Ward, then women from BPL families of the same Gram Sabha/Ward will be considered eligible. If no widow/divorced/deserted or BPL candidate is available, resident women of that Gram Sabha/Ward from families living above the poverty line will be considered eligible. Document requirement for priority categories: For widow candidates: A certificate issued by the Gram Panchayat Officer/concerned Nagar Nikay along with a certified copy of the family register (Parivar Panjika) will be considered valid. For divorced/deserted women: Only orders issued by the Hon'ble Court will be considered valid proof.

The Anganwadi Karyakatri post is a honorarium-based contractual engagement (Manadey Aadharit Sanvida), not a regular salaried government post. Any error in facts, figures, marks, percentage, or date of birth in the online application will lead to rejection of the application, and no opportunity for correction will be provided. The applicant will be solely responsible for such errors. Only residence and caste certificates issued online with digital signatures, where online verification is possible, will be considered valid. Only income certificates issued by a competent authority as per the specified UP Government order will be considered valid, where online verification is possible. Selection will be finalized as per the decision of the District Magistrate/Selection Committee and applicable government orders.
