Selection ProcedureThe above preference order (widow/divorcee/abandoned, poverty line status) will be followed in the selection. The merit of the candidates will be prepared on the basis of maximum educational qualification (up to post graduation). For widows, a death certificate issued by the village panchayat officer/the concerned municipal body and a certified copy of the family register will be valid. For divorcees/abandoned women, legal orders issued by the Honorable Court will be valid.

Siddharthnagar Anganwadi Worker Recruitment 2026: Eligibility

Only female candidates will be eligible to apply for this post. Widow/legally divorced/abandoned woman, resident of the same Gram Sabha/Ward (in urban areas), belonging to a family living below the poverty line, will be given first preference. If a widow/abandoned woman living below the poverty line is not found, then preference will be given to another woman living below the poverty line. In case of non-availability of candidates as mentioned above, women residents of the same Gram Sabha/Ward (in urban areas) and belonging to families living above the poverty line can apply. Applications made by the same candidate for more than one centre or post will not be valid. Only a maximum of two women from a family will be appointed to the post of Anganwadi worker/assistant.

Educational Qualification

The minimum educational qualification for the post of Anganwadi worker will be Intermediate (12th) or equivalent. The maximum educational qualification will be valid up to Postgraduate and the merit will be prepared on this basis.

Important Instructions

The application form will be accepted only online; any application/document sent offline or by post will not be accepted. A candidate cannot apply for more than one centre or post; such applications will not be accepted. Only a maximum of two women from a family will be appointed to the post of Anganwadi worker/assistant. The number of vacant posts may increase or decrease. If there is any error in the application or any fact/data/marks/total marks of educational record is found to be incorrect or forged (fake), the candidature will be cancelled. Only those residence and caste certificates and income certificates will be valid which can be verified online.
