Common Mistakes / What to Check Before Applying for DRDO DEAL Apprentice Recruitment 2026-27?

Not registering on the correct portal - Graduate/Diploma candidates must use NATS 2.0 (https://nats.education.gov.in) at DEAL ID NUKDDC000015; ITI candidates must use NAPS (https://www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in) at Establishment Code E01160500005; applying through the wrong portal will result in rejection. Not converting CGPA to percentage before applying; marks must be entered in percentage as per university norms - discrepancies at document verification can lead to cancellation. Providing incorrect marks or mismatched data between the online application and actual certificates; document verification will cross-check all entries and any discrepancy leads to disqualification. Not uploading scanned copies of all mandatory documents while filling the online application form; incomplete applications will be rejected without further correspondence. Checking only email and not the DRDO/DEAL website for updates; all communications including shortlisting, document verification, and joining instructions are sent via email - candidates must ensure their email ID is active and regularly checked. Not arranging required documents for joining well in advance - particularly the Police Verification Certificate and Certificate of Physical Fitness from a Government Hospital Medical Officer; delays in these can cause joining cancellation. Candidates applying who passed in years before 2022; the 5-year qualifying exam window is strictly 2022–2026 only. Not ensuring that the Aadhaar-seeded bank account details are correct for DBT stipend disbursement; incorrect bank details can delay or disrupt monthly stipend payments.
