Reservation Policy
Rajasthan CET 2026 follows the state reservation norms. Horizontal (cross-category) reservation of 30% applies for women across all categories. Within the women's quota, 8% is reserved for widows and 2% for divorced women (marriage-separated women). If eligible widow candidates are not available, the seats are filled by divorced women of the same category, and vice versa. Reservation for Scheduled Tribes and Scheduled Castes: backlog vacancies are carried forward for up to three subsequent recruitment years if eligible candidates are unavailable in a given year. Outstanding Athletes receive 2% horizontal reservation of total vacancies per notification dated 21.11.2019. Candidates from other states belonging to SC/ST/OBC/MBC/EWS categories are treated as General category for all reservation purposes.
Troubleshooting / Common Mistakes
1. Submitting the application without completing OTR first. The OTR (One Time Registration) must be completed before the application form can be submitted. Incomplete OTR leads to incomplete or unaccepted applications. Do not confuse the OTR fee payment portal with the application submission page. 2. Using someone else's SSO ID to apply. Applications submitted through another person's SSO ID will be rejected outright. Every applicant must use their own SSO ID and should not share it. 3. Applying under the wrong category. Creamy layer OBC/MBC candidates from Rajasthan and all reserved-category candidates from other states must apply under General category. Applying under an incorrect category cannot be corrected after the editing window closes. 4. Uploading a blurred, filtered, or edited live photo. The live photo must be captured via OTR's live camera - not uploaded from a mobile gallery or edited using any photo editor. Such manipulation leads to automatic disqualification. 5. Darkening more than one option per question or leaving more than 10% of questions without any option darkened. In the OMR-based exam, candidates who leave more than 10% of questions without darkening any of the five circles will be disqualified. If not attempting a question, darken option E . 6. Not keeping a printout of the submitted application. Once Final Submitted, certain fields cannot be changed. Keep the application printout safely for document verification and future reference. 7. Waiting until the last day to apply. Technical delays in OTR payment processing are the applicant's own responsibility. Pay OTR and submit the application well before 23 July 2026.
