AIIMS Nagpur Medical Physicist Internship Recruitment 2026

The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Nagpur has announced a recruitment opportunity for a one-year Medical Physicist Internship Programme in the Department of Radiation Oncology. This programme, established under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY), is aimed at Indian Nationals seeking hands-on training in a premier medical institution. To be eligible for the internship, candidates must have completed a Medical Physics course from AERB-listed institutions before July 2026. The essential qualifications include either a Post Graduate Degree in Physics plus a Post M.Sc. Diploma in Radiological/Medical Physics or a Basic Degree in Science with Physics along with a Post Graduate Degree in Radiological/Medical Physics. The selected interns will receive a stipend of ₹12,000 per month for the duration of one year.

The selection process involves the scrutiny of applications and certificates, followed by shortlisting based on bio-data. Candidates will then need to undergo a written examination and an interview. A merit list will be created, and the first two candidates will be selected, with a waitlist maintained.

Please note that no TA/DA will be provided for attending the written test or interview, and accommodation will not be available. Selected candidates will need to undergo a medical fitness test at AIIMS Nagpur. Importantly, there is no application fee.
